How to get to Vilnius coach station from the airport?

You can go by city bus (3 LT) or taxi (~30 LT). Currency - Litas (LT), 1 Euro - 3.5 Litas.There is more information (prices, timetables and etc.) http://www.vilnius-airport.lt/en/

How to get to Tytuvenai?

1.) There is just one direct bus from Vilnius to Tytuvenai at 6.15 p.m. - 10 p.m. (price - 47 LT), (direction: Vilnius - Raseiniai - Tytuvenai - Šiauliai)

2.) You can go from Vilnius to Kaunas (every 30-40 min. in a daytime) (more information http://www.autobusustotis.lt/en) and from Kaunas to Raseiniai (every two hours in a daytime). We will try (but is very very dificult (Raseiniai-Tytuvėnai are about 50 km), please, this trape is only for extra, ) give you a lift from Raseiniai to Tytuvenai.

In the morning the schoolbus will pick you up at the hotel and bring you to the gymnasium (LT pays).

Program

Monday october 1th:

9.00 Meeting of the participants
9.30 Opening of the Project in Lithuania (guests from Vilnius, the mayor of Kelme, the leader of Kelme educational, cultural and sport department, the mayor of Tytuvenai).
Presentation of the participants (exchange of souvenirs).
10.00 Presentation of the research (analysis of results) from each country (max. time – 10 min.)
11.00 Coffee break (for free. Internet facilities.
11.30 Continuation of presentations.
12.50 Lunch at gymnasium (participants have to pay for themselves, price – appr. 7 LT)`
14.00 Acquaintance with Tytuvenai gymnasium and church (we will pay for a guide).
15.00 Free time. Students go to families for dinner.
16.00 Teachers have dinner at Hotel "Sedula" (pay for themselves).
19.00 - 21.00 Lithuanian ethnocultural evening in nature (if rains, we‘ll stay indoors), Activities: games, dances, bonfire and etc.

Tuesday october 2th:

8.45 Attendance in the lessons.
10.35 Coffeebreak?
11.00 A trip to Šiauliai (we‘ll pay for a bus).

Sightseeing tour:
12.15 Hill of Crosses (you can get there original souvenirs and buy snacks for lunch)
14 00 Guided tour in Šiauliai (1.5 – 2 hours) (we‘ll pay for a guide).
Bicycle museum (price: adult – 6 Lt, student – 3 Lt; participants have to pay for themselves).

17.00 Bowling (reserved places for each country; price - appr. 38 Lt (after 1800 – 50 Lt for a country) (participants have to pay for themselves)
18.00 Dinner at „Akropolis“ – shopping centre.
19.00 Coming back to temporary home - Tytuvenai

Wednesday october 3th

10.00Sport activities at Tytuvenai Gymnasium (trainers and sport suit; students and teachers).
12.30 Lunch at gymnasium (participants have to pay for themselves, price – appr. 7 Lt)
13.30 Meeting for the teachers and art-studio for students „Colours of the Earth“ (outside the gymnasium)
15.30 Coffeebreak?
16.00 Making handicrafst (teachers and students)
17.00 Freetime for teachers. Students go to families for dinner.
19.00Dinner for teachers in a cafe „Zara“ (pay for themselves) and disco for students at the gymnasium.

Thursday october 4th

9.00 Come together at Tytuvenai gymnasium
9.30Science lesson in Regional Park. Exposition „Dance of Crane“.
10.30Practical task for the participants (According to ES Comenius programme, about saving, protecting, warning signs).
11.00Trip on foot around „Gilius“ lake. We‘ll visit Forest Museum (we‘ll pay for a guide and tickets).
13.30Lunch at gymnasium (participants have to pay for themselves, price – appr. 7 Lt).
14.30Canoeing (about 3 hours). Price – appr. 20 Lt for a person. Participants have to pay for themselves. If the weather is bad, we‘ll have free time.
18⁰⁰ - 19³⁰Free time. Students stay with families for dinner and a free evening.

- 22⁰⁰. Teachers will go to Šiluva for dinner (we‘ll pay for it)

Friday october 5th

9.00 A trip to the capital city - Vilnius (we‘ll pay for a bus).
Evaluation of the project ( filling the questionnaires, interviewing the participants and etc.) on the way to Vilnius.
Acquaintance with towns:

Lunch in the cafe in Trakai (participants have to pay for themselves ).
Sightseeing in Vilnius:
- TV tower (price: adult - 21 Lt, student - 9 Lt; participants have to pay for themselvese
- Gediminas castle
- Cathedral
- Old city
18.00 Farewell, the Lithuanian participants leave for their homes in Tytuvenai. Foreign participants, stay in Vilnius for the last night . This will save money and time. Please book the hotel on your own. One student from Tytuvenai will stay woth you and help to find the way to your hotel or airport if you need it.
If you stay for the night in Vilnius, you can do some shopping have dinner with the other participants, visit the old city, etc.
